Description
K&M’s Long Range Hunting Courses are designed specifically for you or your group. This private course provides a great opportunity to tailor a class to your specific needs and is perfect for corporate or family groups desiring privacy. Numerous long-range hunters choose to take our Basic Long Range Precision Course (similar curriculum) if their equipment meets the accuracy/ballistics standards. Often an individual’s hunting rifle/scope combination, caliber, and bullet selection may regulate the practical distance possible. Based on your goals and equipment our instructors will tailor their instruction to improve your shooting and/or hunting skills in realistic situations from 100 to 1200 yards (200-600 is most common). Throughout your course, our staff will coach, teach, and mentor you, culminating your training with simulations of the pressures and environments you may encounter on a variety of hunts throughout the world.
We conduct fast-paced courses (8+ hour days) that are designed for novice and seasoned shooters alike. Based on your needs and goals, we can provide a variety of services during the course including options such as full equipment purchase or proper equipment setup. Your course will be customized, beginning with safety and rapidly transitioning into equipment comprehension, fundamentals of advanced marksmanship, ballistics, wind reading, range estimation, alternate positions, moving targets, and target engagements from 200 -1200 yards. Private courses will utilize the entire K&M complex, fully taking advantage of the 12-plus ranges on site. Students that complete the course will have proficiency in firearm safety, firearm handling under stress conditions, advanced marksmanship fundamentals, and a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment. Students will leave with systematic training methods for future progression designed for the most ethical and extreme hunts.
K&M utilizes combat-proven and competitively accomplished cadre. The diversification of our instructors provides a broad perspective and the best talent available from Special Operations, Law Enforcement, Military Sniper Instructors, Veteran LR hunters, and the highest-ranked Civilian PRS Competitors. This unique blend of expertise and experience, combined with a dedicated and purpose-built facility, is simply unrivaled. It allows us to offer the most efficient and professional training available.
