I attended the K&M Comprehensive Precision rifle course from Nov 8th to 11th, 2025. This class was worth every penny and more. The facilities are absolutely magnificent, with beautiful ranges, cozy cabins, and a great club house. This is truly the Augusta National of shooting ranges. However, as nice as the facilities are, what really made the course so incredible was the instructors and staff. Shannon and his crew are really first rate. I came to the class with firearms experience, but nothing more than casual experience at distance. The amount of improvement in my shooting under glass that I experienced was really incredible. I'm still trying to absorb all the great instruction and advice I received over those 4 days, but I can't wait to get out to my local range and start practicing what I learned. Not only were the lessons great, but the instructors have the perfect mix of seriousness and great attitude to really make it fun in addition to educational. I honestly can't wait to come back for an alumni course.

Attended the 4 day K&M Comprehensive Precision Rifle Course in November 2025. Student to instructor ratio at most 5 to 1 (breaking down in groups) but during shooting mostly one to one with excellent coaching. During each session, received more knowledge to shoot better and more accurate.
Rented one of the house guns that are simply top notch.
Spent 2 days in very cold weather - typical Tennessee winter season. But still tons of fun!
Every day started on 100 yard range to reinforce the fundametals that are what is needed to progress. Each exercise built on previous lessons. In the end, ability to shoot and hit targets up to 1200 yards. Target sizes down to 6 inches or so.
Training includes moving targets at 3 MPH 18" wide and 32" tall.
Instructions and lessons included in how to incorporate wind in your calculations.
Very confident to shoot long ranges now.
Rooms very comfortable and clean. Ability to spend team with other course participants in the clubhouse and the fire pit was great.
Very highly recommended.

I attended the comprehensive precision rifle course in October. As someone who was looking to fine tune their skills in precision rifle, this class exceeded my expectations and the instructors helped identify issues areas of needed improvement. I left the class with needed improvements and helpful tips and information. K&M is a world class shooting facility with some of the best instructors in precision rifle shooting. I would highly recommend K&M to anyone wanting to develop their precision rifle skills.
Having just completed the 4 day Comprehensive Precision Rifle Course with K & M Precision I cannot recommend it highly enough. Shannon Kay and his instructors were extremely knowledgeable, professional, passionate and patient. The facility was far above my expectations. No stone left unturned. Even when I thought the grass on the ranges looked really good they were mowing it the following day! The bunkhouse accommodation was immaculate and very comfortable. The Proshop was well stocked even though it had only been a week since the GAPGRIND competition. I felt much more knowledgeable and confident in my shooting ability after completed the course. I plan on returning to attend another course in the next two years.

Super professional facility. Their ranges are better maintained than a lot of golf courses. I enjoyed every aspect of the training both classroom and range. It was a lot of information in a short period of time, but then we would go to the range and put it into practical application. The instructors were professional, knowledgeable, and most of all, PATIENT! 😁 I have way more confidence in my ability as a shooter now and will recommend K & M to anyone looking for training. I just wished I had done the 4 day. Oh well, guess that means I need to take another course.
I took the four day comprehensive course at K&M. Everything is super clean from the living quarters to the ranges. The course far exceeded my expectations. The class was a good bit of class the first day followed by the students shooting and the instructors giving feedback. There were typically 3-4 students per instructor with rotation between the instructors. This allowed us to hear feedback from multiple instructors, but also to watch as others shoot and notice their feedback as well. The next three days were mostly field work to practice the techniques taught in the class. The class was so good that I signed up for the competition preparation class later this month.
I advanced my shooting skills more in four days with Shannon and his team than I have on my own in the last 12 months. If you want no BS impactful training and feedback, this is the place to be. Their approach gives you the tools to continue training on your own with a real understanding of the necessary ballistics and how to apply them to your weapons system. You won't find a better place to build a solid shooting skills foundation.
I have been to numerous training events around the eastern U.S. None compare to my recent trip to K&M Shooting Complex. From the facilities, to the staff, to the course content, all was outstanding. I will certainly go back. I highly recommend K&M to anyone interested in the long range shooting sports. You will not be disappointed!

I've been thinking about getting more into precision shooting for a while and decided to take K&M's 2 day course. Let's just say that I walked away wishing I had signed up for the 4-day course so that I could have kept training with these guys. I can't believe how much content and training they managed to pack into those 2 days and I came away a much better long range shooter.
The instructors really know their stuff. Everything they teach comes from years of experience of seeing what works and what doesn't. I have no doubt at all that this course has saved me a crap-load of time and money that I could have easily wasted on bad technique, bad equipment, and just not knowing what I was doing wrong. I went from never having shot past 500 yards to making hits on 1200 yard targets on the first day. It was unbelievable to me.
The shooting facility itself is crazy-nice. They have a ton of land, lots of shooting bays, all types of setups for just about every type of shooting imaginable. The lodging and public spaces were immaculately clean and fun to hang out in. The vibe was awesome, especially being able to be around so many folks that are deep into precision shooting.
I can't wait to sign up for another class. Next time I'm definitely taking the 4-day class. I highly recommend K&M.

WOW! All I can say is WOW! What an amazing experience! Shannon, you and your staff totally exceeded my expectations. This place is the most pristine, range I have ever been to and I was totally blown away with your attention to detail. There is not so much as a rock out of place in your entire facility. The accommodations we clean and welcoming and I would go back tomorrow. As nice as the facility and accommodations are, the staff are what really makes this place special. I received amazing instruction on the range and went from never shooting long range to making consistent hits around 1000yds and consistent hits on moving targets at 525 yds and 300yds. I took the 2-day course offers an excellent chance to enhance your hunting and shooting skills. The facility and accommodation are top-notch. Shannon and the instructors are professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of shooting, ballistics, long-range shooting, and target acquisition. Though it emphasizes long-range shooting, all students will benefit from situational shooting practice, such as shooting off logs, rocks, tires, and tripods. Highly recommended for any hunter or shooter, you'll become more efficient in your next hunt. Take the course—your taxidermist will thank you.
I am new to precision shooting, so I signed up for the 4 day comprehensive course and rented a rifle from K&M for the course. I also signed up for a private cabin rather than staying in the bunkhouse.
The course was everything I could have hoped for. Instructors were professional and patient with any questions that came up. Very impressed! I attended the two day "Basic Course", and I still can't believe how much I learned in two days. The facilities are top notch from the accommodations to the ranges. A good balance of classroom training and field training.

Shannon & his guys are great instructors. The facilities are better than anything I have seen or heard about. The guest bunkhouse was spotless and the group of students were friendly. The staff taught me more about rifle shooting than all of my years of shooting, other rifle schools and years of L/E training. All in 4 days. 10/10 for training but 10/10 for an enjoyable get-away too.
What a facility!!! The grounds are clean and the ranges are perfect. The instructors are highly knowledgeable on long range precision and very helpful. If I lived closer I would be there every weekend.
I just completed the 4 day comprehensive precision shooting class and it was incredible. I came in with no formal training and no real time on the gun. I was excited, nervous, and intimidated. The first day in class Shannon and his team set my mind at ease. It was clear from the get go these guys were humble and there to help get us to where we wanted to be. I started out struggling a bit on the line. All the instructors were there to help and teach through the issues, with patience. When you are struggling and frustrated it’s easy to lose focus, but they knew how to calm me down and get me back on track. On day two Brandon Hembree (instructor) noticed I was struggling again. He came over and watched me and quickly found the issue. From that point on I was shooting decent but had many fundamentals to focus on. Shannon and Kevin’s experience running these classes were very evident. They had a great balance of having high expectations yet supportive and understanding when battling through mental errors. Dillon was also incredible helping us work through bad tendencies and mental errors. The class work and shooting the first two days were well balanced. The final two days were all shooting and they ramped up the drills and expectations quickly. The structure was perfect. By day three they knew our tendencies and where we needed the work. They also knew our skill level and instead of every person doing the same thing across the board, they increased the difficulty for those who were shooting better, and kept the normal difficulty for others. Throughout these days it was crazy to see how much work these guys put into this class. They aren’t just running it off a script, they truly watch, make adjustments, push us, and support us. While we had little breaks these guys were hustling setting up the next course. The facility is truly second to none. The courses they have are incredible and they are all a 30 second ride away. They also have a nice pro shop. I got some advice from Shannon on what scope he recommended, because I wanted to upgrade. He walked me through the ones he had, gave me his input and what he felt was the best bang for my buck. Kevin also helped as well. They never once tried to push into a sale or talked me into buying anything. I purchased the newest scope they had and these guys had it installed and ready to go the next morning. They also installed a new trigger for me. I’m telling you, this is the best precision class, range and instructors in the nation. By the end of day 4 I was a new shooter. I felt far more confident in my shots and fundamentals. I still a ton of work to do but they’ve given me the confidence and a plan on what to train moving forward. If you are new at precision shooting and considering taking a class, do not hesitate! If you want to learn, get pushed, have some fun and get better, this is the place to do it!! I hope this review, yet long, gives you the confidence to get out there, you will leave much better and you’ll definitely have “the bug”

I’ve had training both in and out of the service, and like many others, I came in with high expectations. Most people looking at this school are seeking advanced training—whether for competition, PRS, hunting, or another demanding field. That being said, this is the highest level of marksmanship instruction I’ve seen.
If you’re serious about progressing, I highly recommend the 4-day course. I own a gun store, shoot frequently, and train hard, but the attention to detail here is on another level. Instructors are an incredible resource of knowledge, and they truly made me a better marksman.

I just finished up a class here and this business blew all my expectations away. Their facilty is absolutely amazing, I've never seen anything like it. After doing some research, it was determined that K&M offered the best training for precision shooting. After experiencing this training myself, I can confirm that to be true. Their training is disseminated in a way that everyone is able to understand and then go out and utilize. Their curriculum was very well thought out and combined with the real world experience of the cadre, I genuinely think there's no better outfit out there.
Outside of the facility and the services themselves, I've never met a staff that made me feel so welcomed somewhere. We were broken up into groups and Brandon and Jay were my primary instructors. These guys were a wealth of knowledge. Any problems I had, they immediately were able to troubleshoot and get me back on track. They watched over me and made me feel like family. I left only wishing I could stay longer. I couldn't recommend a business any higher than I do the K&M Shooting Complex. Shannon really put together an amazing operation. I cannot wait to go back.
